Where Adobe Podcast is better
- Its paid plan goes much further than our pass: 4 hours a day, bulk upload, and separate strength for speech, music and ambience.
- It is part of a bigger toolset: Adobe Podcast Studio records and edits in the browser, so cleanup is one step of a whole workflow.
- Echo is part of its headline job (Adobe describes Enhance Speech as removing "noise and echo from voice recordings"). CleanGrab reduces light echo but will not fully erase a very reverberant room, and its deeper echo mode needs a pass.
- Sound: we have not tested Adobe against CleanGrab on a fair set of at least 10 recordings, so we make no claim either way. Try the same file in both and compare by ear.

Adobe Podcast's free plan allows 1 hour of processed audio a day, tied to your Adobe account (Adobe's plans page, checked 2 October 2026); go over it and you wait until it resets. CleanGrab gives you 10 recordings a day with no account, and the count resets at midnight.
Is CleanGrab actually free, with no catch?
Yes: no account, no watermark, 10 recordings a day. Adobe Podcast caps its free plan at 1 hour a day, Krisp is now a 7-day trial and Cleanvoice gives 30 free minutes. Here the free version cleans recordings up to 45 minutes, ten a day, with no watermark; the optional pass only raises that ceiling, it never lowers it. What are CleanGrab's actual limits: file size, length, daily cap?
Up to 1 GB and 45 minutes per file, and 10 recordings a day: run them back to back, and it resets at midnight. The only limit is 2 recordings processing at once per visitor, just to keep the queue moving for everyone else; that resets the moment one finishes.
Is CleanGrab better than Adobe Podcast?
We haven't measured that: a fair test needs at least 10 recordings through both, and we haven't run one. What we can say is what the free tiers allow. CleanGrab needs no account, takes video and 3 files at a time, and has a visible strength control; Adobe's free plan is audio only, one file at a time, with no strength control. Try both and compare by ear for your recording.
Do I need to sign up?
No. There's no account, no e-mail, and no login for CleanGrab: you upload, it processes, you download.
Where does my audio get processed: does it leave my computer?
It's uploaded to our own server and processed on computers we operate ourselves, running our own model: not sent to a third-party cloud. It's deleted the moment processing finishes; see what happens to your recording below.
Does it fix echo like the paid tools claim to?
Heavy room echo and reverb are a harder, separate problem: CleanGrab reduces light echo, but it will not fully erase a very reverberant room. We'd rather say that plainly than promise something the tool can't do.
What happens to my recording afterwards?
