CleanGrab is a free online tool that removes background noise from a voice recording (hum, hiss, fans, air conditioning, traffic, street noise, keyboard clatter) entirely on our own hardware. It is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. It is tuned for voice/speech; results on music or non-speech audio may be poor. Heavy echo and reverb are reduced, not fully removed. Quality varies with the source material.
Over the past 31 days we logged 379 individual uploads, averaging 9.56 MB and topping out at 82.94 MB for the single largest file — all comfortably under the 1 GB cap, and none of them came within 10% of it. Most uploads are small: a cluster around 32–64 KB shows up 150 times (short voice memos), with further clusters at 4–8 MB (38 times) and 16–32 MB (33 times) for longer recordings. The service is built for that kind of ordinary voice recording, not for bulk transfers disguised as audio files; if a file's size or pattern looks like an attempt to route unrelated data through the tool, we treat that as abuse under the fair-use rule above.
Uploading a recording does not transfer any rights to us, and cleaning a recording does not give us any rights to it. You own the rights to your own audio; we don't claim any rights over your uploads or the cleaned output.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CleanGrab is not liable for any damages arising from use of the service, including loss of files or claims relating to uploaded content. Files are processed automatically and deleted shortly after; keep your own originals.
